Aurangabad, Oct. 28 -- Ratio of COVID positive cases has dropped significantly across the Marathwada region of Maharashtra which reported only 57 new cases and no related death during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Thursday.

Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad reported 17 new cases followed by Beed with14 cases, Osmanabad 8 cases, Nanded 7 cases, Latur 6 cases, Parbhani 3 cases, Hingoli and Jalna had one case each, they added.

Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 1,485 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,06,536.
