Osmanabad, Oct. 18 -- The Maha Vikas Aghadi government will aid the farmers whose crops have been damaged by rains, assured NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday while embarking on a two-day tour of the areas impacted by heavy downpour.

After arriving in this district, he first visited Tuljapur town and then proceeded to the Kakramba village. He also inspected the flaccid crops in the Sastur village of the Lohara taluka.

While interacting with the farmers, he told that he will also seek help from Centre besides the state government's aid. Former Union Agriculture Minister Pawar will also visit Latur district.
