Nashik, Aug. 1 -- The total number of coronavirus cases in Nashik district of Maharashtra rose to 15,019 after 603 people tested positive for the virus on Saturday, a health official said.
Of the fresh cases, 178 were reported in rural areas of the district, 397 in Nashik city and 28 in Malegaon.
As many as six fatalities, all in Nashik city, were recorded today that pushed the death toll figure to 505.
Meanwhile, 217 patients were completely cured and discharged across the district.
According to the latest report of district administration, the district has received the results of 2,862 swab samples in the past 24 hrs.
