Kolhapur, Aug. 1 -- 263 new cases were detected for coronavirus disease while six positive patients were passed away during on Saturday.
In a press release of Chhatrapati Pramila Raje hospital district surgeon, Dr B Kempipatil said that the 263 peoples including 119 from Kolhapur Municipal Corporation areas, were tested positive for CoV disease during the day, taking the total number of cases to 6,443.
Six patients succumbed to the disease, which pushed the death toll figures to 187, whereas recoveries have spiked to 2,882 with 3,394 active cases in the district.
