London, Sept. 24 -- Arsenal winger Noni Madueke will undergo further scans to assess the knee injury he sustained in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed.
The 23-year-old England international, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer, was forced off at halftime and has already undergone initial tests. While the injury is considered serious, the club is relieved that it is not believed to be an anterior cruciate ligament problem.
"It looks like Noni is going to be out for a few weeks, but we don't really know yet, we will have to scan him next week again," Arteta said.
"He felt something at the beginning of the match and tried to carry on but it was too sore, so let's see," he added.
