Chennai, March 16 -- The Madras High Court, on Monday closed a copyright infringement plea filed by Sun TV Network Limited against five time IPL winner Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for using Jalier, Jailer-2 and Coolie songs owned by Sun Pictures during a promo event at the launch of its jersey for this year's edition.
Mr Justice Senthilkumar Ramamorrthy, hearing the Sun TV Network's plea seeking an interim injunction to restrain CSK from using its copyrighted songs for the team's promotional videos, disposed them after the IPL franchisee assured that it would not use the songs without licence.
