Chennail, Feb. 10 -- The Madras High Court on Tuesday allowed production house KVN, the makers of Vijay's swansong film"Jana Nayagan", to withdraw the petition seeking a direction to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to grant censorcertificate to the film.
Allowing the plea, Ms Justice P T Asha dismissed the petition as withdrawn.
This followed the CBFC's move to refer the film to the Review Committee for issuing the censor certificate.
As the film could not be released on the scheduled date of January nine coinciding with the Pongal festivities due to censorship rowand the subsequent legal wrangles and based on the orders of the First Bench of the High Court directing the Single Judge to hear the matter afresh, the producti...
