New York, Aug. 10 -- Over a quarter-century later, Macaulay Culkin admits one opportunity still lingers in his mind, the chance to audition for Wes Anderson's "Rushmore" during his self-imposed break from acting in the mid 1990s.

The Golden Globe nominated actor, who voluntarily withdrew from the limelight following "Richie Rich" (1994) after an intense and prolific childhood career, revealed on 'Hit Ones' that while he was typically meticulous in reading through scripts during his hiatus, one particularly fateful oversight occurred, reports DEADLINE.
