Hyderabad, Oct. 18 -- The L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) has extended Diwali greetings to citizens while urging everyone to celebrate responsibly and safely.
Emphasising that "safety comes from celebrating responsibly," LVPEI In-charge of Emergency Services Dr Navya Cherukuri advised the public to observe essential precautions while lighting firecrackers and to act swiftly in case of any eye injuries.
Dr Cherukuri said a few careful steps can make the festival both joyful and accident-free. LVPEI recommended buying fireworks only from authorised sellers, lighting them in open spaces under adult supervision, wearing protective goggles, and keeping water handy for emergencies.
