Los Angeles, Nov. 26 -- Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o has offered a thoughtful reflection on the restricted roles that came her way in the wake of her landmark performance in "12 Years a Slave".
Speaking to actress and musician Angelique Kidjo on CNN, the 42-year-old reflected on the aftermath of her extraordinary film debut, a role that earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2014.
The Oscar win "was for the first film I had ever done," recalled the actress.
