Lucknow, Dec. 5 -- Lucknow's iconic Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden is stepping into a new phase of eco-friendly development as the Tourism Department rolls out a Rs 1.91 crore project designed to make the zoo greener, more engaging and more enjoyable for families.

State Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh on Friday said the initiative aims to create an attractive and environmentally aligned space that appeals especially to children and school groups.

As part of the upgrades, new kids' play swings-designed with international safety standards-have been installed. Families and young visitors are already responding positively, as these play areas add a fun, interactive element to zoo visits.
