Lt Gen Harpal Singh takes charge as Director General Border Roads

New Delhi, Jan. 1 -- Lt Gen Harpal Singh on Thursday assumed charge as the 29th Director General Border Roads (DGBR), marking the formal taking over of the reins of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

Lt Gen Harpal Singh was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers in June 1991. During his illustrious career spanning more than three decades, he has held a wide range of command, staff and leadership appointments across diverse operational environments.

Prior to assuming the appointment of Director General Border Roads, the General Officer held a senior leadership appointment, wherein he made notable contributions towards strengthening engineering capabilities and infrastructure development, the BRO spokesperson stated.
