New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Amid ruckus by the Opposition members over Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral roll in Bihar, the Lok Sabha today passed the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2025, voice vote, without discussion.
Presiding officer Dilip Saikia resumed the House proceedings at 4 pm after three earlier adjournments.
However, Opposition members stormed into the well of the House, shouting slogans and continuing their protest.
Amid the ruckus by the Opposition, Saikia called the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to move the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2025 for consideration and passing.
