New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day after Opposition members today created a ruckus over Special Intensive revision (SIR) of electoral roll in Bihar.
When the presiding officer Dilip Saikia resumed the House proceedings at 4 PM after three adjournments, the Opposition members again entered the well of the House and shouted slogans.
Amid the ruckus, the House also passed the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2025, by voice vote, without discussion.
Earlier, presiding officer Krishna Prasad Tenneti resumed the session at 2 pm following two earlier adjournments, but Opposition members soon were on their feet raising slogans and disrupting the House. They entered the well of the House with placards and s...
