Thiruvananthapurm, April 8 -- All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) General Secretary G. Devarajan on Tuesday termed the hike in the price of LPG cylinders by the Modi government a mockery on democracy.
"The hike in the price of LPG cylinders, immediately following the conclusion of the Parliament session, is nothing short of an assault on the public and a direct affront to our democratic practices," Devarajan pointed out.
"It has, unfortunately, become a well-established practice of this government to temporarily reduce prices in the lead-up to elections, only to raise them exorbitantly once the elections are over," he felt.
