Bhiwandi, March 15 -- Authorities in Maharashtra have stepped up action against illegal hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders amid concerns that fuel supplies could tighten because of rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. As part of this intensified drive, the rationing department carried out a major operation in Bhiwandi where officials seized 84 LPG cylinders allegedly stored for illegal sale and began legal proceedings against those linked to the suspected network.
