Bhubaneswar, Aug. 18 -- Several parts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall over the next four days, as a well-marked low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a depression, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The system has developed over the west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, near the north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards, concentrate into a depression within the next 12 hours, and cross the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coasts around the forenoon of August 19.
