Bhubaneswar, July 13 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today predicted heavy rainfall across several parts of Odisha over the next five days.

According to the IMD bulletin, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal and Odisha within the next 24 hours.

Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is very likely to occur in several districts of Odisha from July 13 to July 17.
