Chennai, Aug. 8 -- A Low Pressure Area is likely to form over the Bay on August 13, the Met office said today.
In a bullet in, it said Yesterday's upper air cyclonic circulation over Southwest Bay of Bengal off North Tamilnadu coasts now lies over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh between 1.5 and 3.1 km above mean sea level.
A north-south trough runs from South Coastal Andhra Pradesh to North Sri Lanka across Coastal Tamilnadu extends upto 1.5 km above sea level.
An upper air cyclonic circulation over North Interior Karnataka and neighbourhood at 5.8 km above mean sea level.
A Low Pressure Area is likely to form Northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal around August 13, it said.
