Amaravati, Sept. 14 -- The low-pressure area over north Telangana and adjoining Vidarbha persisted on Sunday morning, according to the Meteorological Centre.

In its daily weather report, the Met Centre said the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level and is tilting southwestwards with height. The system is expected to move west-northwestwards toward central parts of Vidarbha and its neighbourhood before shifting northwards as a remnant upper-air cyclonic circulation.

The Southwest Monsoon remains active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and normal over Rayalaseema. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next 24 hours.
