Amaravati, April 10 -- Wednesday's low-pressure area over west central Bay of Bengal persisted at 0830 hours on Thursday with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto middle tropospheric levels.
It is likely to move -north-northeastwards and weaken gradually over the central Bay of Bengal during the next 12 hours, Meteorological Centre said.
In a daily weather report here, it said that the trough from the cyclonic circulation associated with low pressure area over west-west-central Bay of Bengal to south Tamil Nadu extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level has become less marked.
