Amaravati, Aug. 24 -- A fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha-West Bengal coasts during the next 48 hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on August 25 and 26.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds with a speed of 30- 40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, from August 25 to 28 and in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on August 26, 27 and 28.
