Amaravati, Aug. 11 -- A low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal around August 13, the Meteorological Centre said today.
In its daily weather report, the Met Centre said the upper air cyclonic circulation over north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Telangana, between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level and tilting southwards with height, persisted.
The cyclonic circulation over north interior Karnataka and neighbouring areas, between 4.5 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level, has become less marked.
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema on August 13, 14, and 15.
