Chennai, Aug. 13 -- A Low Pressure Area has formed over the Bay of Bengal today, the Met office said.

It said under the influence of the upper air cyclonic circulation over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, a Low Pressure Area has formed over the Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts at 0530 hrs of today.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and become well marked during the next 24 hours.

It is likely to move across North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha during the next 48 hours. UNI GV 1100
