Kolkata, Oct. 10 -- Leader of the Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, today raised serious concerns over alleged irregularities in the appointment of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) across West Bengal and called for the immediate intervention of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to rectify the situation.
In a post on his X handle, Adhikari alleged some 226 junior officers have been appointed as the EROs denying senior officers in the ranks of West Bengal Civil Services. He also named all the 226 junior officers in the post.
