Belagavi, Dec. 19 -- BJP Karnataka today intensified its attack on Minister HC Mahadevappa, with Legislative Council opposition leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy demanding his immediate resignation over alleged misuse of funds earmarked for Dalit welfare.
Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, Narayanaswamy accused the minister of failing to deliver on promises for Dalit upliftment and instead diverting resources to personal and political interests.
Narayanaswamy claimed that while the state had allocated Rs 42,000 crore this year for Scheduled Castes' development under SEPA and TSPA schemes, only a fraction of it has reached the intended beneficiaries.
