Bengaluru, Feb. 11 -- Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy on Tuesday hit out at the Congress government, accusing it of indulging in appeasement politics in response to the violence in Mysuru's Udayagiri area.

Reacting to remarks by Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna, Narayanaswamy questioned whether areas with a 100 percent Muslim population should be handed over entirely.

"The statement he made is completely wrong. If there's a place where Muslims make up 100 percent of the population, should we hand over the entire place to them? This is the level of Congress' appeasement politics," Narayanaswamy said.
