Ranchi, March 21 -- Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has written to Chief Minister Hemant Soren alleging underutilisation of recently procured bulletproof vehicles meant for VIP security and movement.
In a letter dated March 21, Marandi said the state Home Department had purchased 17 bulletproof vehicles in late 2024 for use by the Chief Minister, former Chief Ministers, the Governor and other dignitaries.
He said three vehicles have been allocated to the Chief Minister and two to Raj Bhavan, while the remaining vehicles are with the headquarters.
Marandi claimed that only a few of these vehicles are currently being used for VIP movement, while others remain idle.
