London, July 29 -- Two people have died and two others sustained injuries following a knife attack in central London near Tower Bridge, the Metropolitan Police said.
The Tower Bridge area is a major tourist destination and a place where violent crime is considered rare.
Police received reports of multiple assaults at the premises in a narrow road close to the bridge in the London borough of Southwark, according to a police statement.
"Officers were called at 13:00hrs on July 28 to reports that multiple people had been assaulted at a business unit in Long Lane, SE1. Police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated four people for stab wounds. Despite the best effort of paramedics a 58-year-old-man died at the scene. ...
