New Delhi, Feb. 7 -- Lok Sabha on Friday took up the discussion on the Union Budget 2025-26, which was presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the last Saturday.

Initiating the discussion, Congress MP Dharamveer Gandhi asserted that the "States make India and not the Centre which makes states. This Budget has no proper allocation for states".

The Congress leader alleged that the Union Budget has failed to address the agrarian challenges being faced by the country. Raising concerns over issues of farmers' suicide, Gandhi said it was unfortunate that the farmers are still commiting suicides despite ten years rule of NDA government at the Centre.
