New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- The Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed the Repealing and Amending Bill, 2025, by a voice vote, clearing the way for the repeal of 71 obsolete or redundant Acts and introduces amendments to four existing Acts.

Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal presented the Bill, which aims to repeal certain enactments while amending others for clarity and correction.

According to the Bill's Statement of Objects and Reasons, most of the repealed Acts-65 in total-are Amendment Acts whose provisions have already been integrated into principal Acts.
