New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- The proceedings in the Lok Sabha were adjourned till 2 pm today after Opposition members created an uproar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar.

When the House reassembled at 12 noon, and the presiding officer Krishna Prasad Tenneti called for the papers to be laid on the table of the House.

Meanwhile, commotion by the Opposition members over Bihar SIR continued.

While appealing to the agitating members to let the House function, Tenneti said, "I request all of you to kindly take your seat. We will take the proceedings further. I want to listen to you but not like this. Please go back to your chairs and then present, I will give you an opportunity to speak but not like this".
