New Delhi, Aug. 6 -- The Lok Sabha was adjourned until 2 pm today after Congress and other Opposition members stormed into the well of the House, shouting slogans over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar and demanding a discussion on the issue.

When the House reconvened at 12 noon, amid the uproar, presiding officer Dilip Saikia initiated the proceedings. He urged the protesting members to return to their seats and allow the House to function smoothly.

Saikia said constantly interrupting the proceedings undermines the dignity of the Lok Sabha. He urged the members to act constructively, emphasising that such disorderly conduct damages the House's reputation and deeply disappoints the nation.
