Jalandhar, April 8 -- Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday spoke to SPO Rachhpal Singh who sustained serious burn injuries after a bootlegger hurled a petrol bomb on the patrolling party deployed in the area of Pandori Nijjhra village to check curfew violators.
The Chief Minister said that he had also inquired about the health of the injured cop and hoped
that he would recuperate soon.
The policeman under treatment at the civil hospital is expected to be discharged within a fortnight.
Notably, the bootlegger was irked over the strict implementation of the curfew orders which was affecting
his illicit liquor business.
