Dharamshala, April 7 -- A total of 35 United States nationals, stranded at this tourist spot since the imposition of lockdown, were on Tuesday shifted to Chandigarh before they will fly to the US.

Kangra Superintendent of Police Vimukt Ranjan told UNI that 35 US nationals who were here have left for Chandigarh today in two Volvo buses where they were seated with proper social distancing. A team of US embassy had arrived here who accompanied the tourists to Chandigarh.

The SSP said that these US nationals would fly back to the US by special aircraft from Chandigarh as their government had sought permission for the same at the earliest. UNI XC DB SB 1831
