New Delhi, Dec. 1 -- The Kerala State Election Commission (SEC) has informed the Supreme Court that the upcoming local body elections in the State will proceed smoothly and will not be impacted by the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls currently being undertaken by the Election Commission of India.
The SEC, in its counter-affidavit filed in response to Kerala's plea seeking postponement of the SIR, clarified that none of the officers deployed for the 2025 Local Self-Government Institution (LSGI) elections will be diverted for SIR-related work.
