Khammam (Telangana), June 15 -- Telangana Revenue, Housing and Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday announced that the field is ready for the local body elections in the state.
He said the election notification is expected to be issued by the end of June, and a cabinet decision on the schedule will be taken on June 16.
The MPTC and ZPTC elections will be held first, followed by Sarpanch and Municipal elections.
Speaking to party leaders at the Kusumanchi MLA camp office in Khammam district, the Minister stressed the need for unity among local leaders and urged them to resolve public issues on priority. He added that candidates will be selected based on reservation and their winning chances.
