Nizamabad, July 19 -- Telangana State Finance Commission (SFC) Chairman Siricilla Rajaiah on Saturday urged local bodies to focus on enhancing their revenue sources through effective utilisation of local opportunities, emphasising that improved financial strength is key to delivering better public services and improving people's living standards.
Addressing a review meeting with officials of Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts at the Integrated District Offices Complex in Nizamabad, Rajaiah stressed the importance of curbing unnecessary expenditure while actively identifying and developing new income streams.
"Only with financial self-reliance can local bodies truly empower communities and uplift rural and urban livelihoods," he said.
