Vijayawada, May 14 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said that the Animal Husbandry Department, which plays a vital role in driving Andhra Pradesh's growth, will continue to receive top priority under his government.
Currently, the sector contributes 11.23% to the state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), a testament to its importance in the overall economy.
Speaking at the Animal Husbandry-Tech AI 2.0 Conclave held here, Naidu outlined the government's vision for livestock and poultry industries, and announced key reforms including the exemption of property and house tax on village-level dairy sheds.
