Srinagar, Dec. 27 -- : Security forces on Saturday recovered live rounds during a cordon and a search operation (CASO) in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore sub district, officials said.
They said a suspicious material was detected near the roadside at Wagub Choora orchards during a CASO prompting heightened security measures in the area.
Officials said that security forces, including the Army's 52 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police, and 177 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), immediately cordoned off the area after noticing the suspicious object.
Traffic movement was temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety, officials said.
