Patna, June 22 -- Bihar's famous and luscious juicy pulp fruit of "Litchi" has created a new record this year as the state has, so far, transported 250 tonnes of Litchi to other states registering 108 per cent increase in its transportation.
Official sources said here on Sunday that Airport Authority of India (AAI) has played a significant role in transporting Litchis to the metro cities from Darbhanga airport.
With Litchi reaching bigger cities, the cargo air service has provided the state's farmers the access to large markets. Litchi exports to other states have witnessed a rise of 108 per cent in comparison to 2024 when the state had transported 120 tonnes of the juicy fruit.
