Chennai, Dec. 4 -- In a setback for the DMK government of MK Stalin, a Division Bench of Madurai Bench of Madras High Court on Thursday dismissed the appeal by the state challenging the order of a single Judge, passed on a contempt petition, allowing devotees of the Thirparankundram Murugan temple to light the Karthigai deepam at the stone pillar atop the hillock close to the Sikkandar darga on Wednesday evening.
