Lifts on Shimla Mall Road to open partially from July 1

Shimla, June 30 -- The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation decided to resume the operation of lifts on the Mall Road from July 1, a senior officer of HPTDC confirmed on Tuesday.

Managing Director of HPTDC Kumad Singh urged the general public to co-operate with the lift staff and follow all safety measures for the prevention of Novel Coronavirus.

She said the operation of lifts was closed in March, 2020, due to nationwide lockdown. These Lifts shall start functioning again from July 1, 2020. The Lifts should be operated with 50 per cent capacity to ensure social distancing, Ms Singh said in a statement here.
