Latur, Sept. 29 -- Normal life is slowly resuming in Latur district following the cessation of heavy rainfall, though the agricultural community confronts substantial losses due to extensive flooding.
The flood situation, resulting from persistent downpours over recent days, is now abating as water levels in rivers, streams and lakes have receded. This decline has enabled authorities to restore connectivity to previously isolated villages through alternative transportation routes.
Agricultural sectors have borne the brunt of the adverse conditions, with crops in low-lying areas remaining underwater. The soybean harvest has been particularly devastated while cotton bolls are rotting across fields.
