LIC hands over dividend cheque of Rs 7324.34 cr to the government

Kolkata, Aug. 29 -- The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) today handed over a dividend cheque of Rs 7324.34 crore to the Government of India.

LIC's CEO and MD R. Doraiswamy presented the dividend cheque ofRs.7324.34 crore to union Minister of Finance and Corporate AffairsNirmala Sitharaman, as the Government of India's share of dividend,approved by the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting held onAugust 26.
