Srinagar, June 13 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday called for seamless coordination among the Civil Administration, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB), J&K Police, Army, security forces, and all other key stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and successful conduct of the Amarnath Yatra beginning July 3.
Sinha chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials to review the security arrangements for the forthcoming Yatra.
The meeting was attended by top civil, security and intelligence officials.
A government spokesman said the Lieutenant Governor took a comprehensive review of the security apparatus and measures deployed by the security agencies to ensure safety of the pilgrims.
