Puducherry, Oct. 6 -- Lt Governor Kiran Bedi on Sunday greeted the people of Union territory on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja/Saraswathi Pooja on Monday.
In her message, the Lt Governor said the 9th day of Navaratri is celebrated as Ayudha pooja/Saraswathi pooja and is the most auspicious festival.
Ayudha pooja is celebrated to thank Goddess Saraswathi, who is the deity of Music, Wisdom, Knowledge, Art and Science.
The festival marks the day when we revere and value the instruments and tools that impart knowledge and assist us to render our works. It is a day to express gratitude to the creator of all instruments, small or big that added meaning to our life by placing these before God and performing pooja.
