Nashik, Oct. 22 -- One leopard was caged by the forest department in Maharashtra's Nasik district today, officials said.

The leopard was caught in the Chas area of Sinnar taluka, they said.

Last Sunday, the forest department captured another leopard in Sinnar taluka. For the past few days, there was an atmosphere of fear among the villagers due to the movements of leopards in the Chas area.

However, on Sunday, at around 10 pm, a leopard was trapped in a cage set by the Forest Department and captured. There were also complaints that farmers were facing great difficulties in doing agricultural work since a leopard was still free in the same area.
