Pune, Nov. 5 -- The leopard that had claimed the lives of a 13-year-old boy and several others in the Pimperkhed area of Shirur taluka was finally shot dead on Wednesday by Forest Department team. The operation brought major relief to the villagers who had been living in fear for weeks.
The leopard had attacked both the livestock and humans, spreading terror across several villages in the region. Repeated incidents had led to growing anger among the locals, who had accused the Forest Department of inaction.
