Deola, Jan. 21 -- In Kharde (Taluka Deola), a leopard attacked a flock of sheep around 10 pm on Monday, killing four sheep and seriously injuring five others.

The incident, which occurred in a field very close to the village, has created panic among livestock owners and villagers. They have demanded that the forest department install a cage to capture the leopard.

Ravindra Vasudev, a shepherd from Kharde village, a remote village in Deola taluka, had set up his sheep pen in a field near the Indira Gandhi School, where onions had recently been harvested. Around 10 pm on Monday, a leopard attacked the flock of sheep in the pen. The leopard killed four sheep and seriously injured four to five others.
